In a time of both sophisticated technology and powerful magic, an evil sorceress corrupts the world's largest military power through manipulation and deception, enslaving mankind to do her bidding. Her goal is not something as simple as world domination; but to completely conquer all of space and time.
To counter the turn of events, various leaders head combat training schools, known as Gardens, that turn out elite fighting forces. Known as SeeDs, they defend, serve, and protect humankind from the sorceress. The sole purpose of these academies is to vanquish the sorceress and save humanity as we know it, although they take many other assignments for the right price.
A small, loose-knit group of SeeD graduates find themselves wrapped in a much bigger endeavor than simple military combat. Now, a gunblade specialist, together with a diverse group of young heroes, must set aside his fears, face the emotions he's run from, and become the leader that he never wanted to be.

Squall Leonhart
-Squall is an expressionless distant teenager from Balamb Garden. He is troubled by his dreams, and finds the whole concept of emotions very hard to grasp.
Rinoa Heartilly
-Rinoa is leader of the "forest owls", a resistance group fighting for the independence of timber from the government's control, she is strong willed and kind hearted, making her a great leader.
The Story Begins When ...................................
Squall first met Rinoa [The Lady In White Night Gown] at Balamb graduation party and she ask him to dance with her. It was a beautiful and romantic night with her, Squall was quite shy as this is the first time he dance with Rinoa. Squall accidentally step on her and decide to leave, yet Rinoa encouraged him to stay and they dance til the end. They danced so well, others see with envious. After the dance, they parted...
Squall met Riona once again at Timber, this time he was on a mission. Rinoa was very happy to know that Cid [Squall's Headmaster] sent the SeeDs to aid her mission [She go to the Graduation party bacause of this reason]. She explained her mission to Squall and his party. Guess that they were fated to be together since their first encounter.
They went through various dangers together during their first mission. They are suppose to capture President Vinzer Deling of Galbadia but end up facing an imposter [which is a monster in disguise].Thus, they have to fight this monster, this was their 1st battle and many battles follow after that.
After this mission failed, they decided to move on to Galbadia Garden to seek help from Galbadia Headmaster Martine. Along the way, Rinoa comment on the way how Squall treats his comrades so coldly [bad impression eh?]. At Galbadia Garden, they work out a plan to assasinate Soceress Edea. Again, another dangerous mission for this pair of future couples.
Soon they meet up with General Caraway [Rinoa's dad] for the assasination briefing, General Caraway had forbidded Rinoa to take part in this mission. Squall & Rinoa were separated...
Apparently, the assasination failed as well, Squall was injured by Edea. Rinoa was shocked, she was very sad about it, she started to have feelings for Squall. The rest was taken to the D-District Prison.
Rinoa was released with her dad's help, when Irvine was sending her back. She insisted in returning to the D-District to save the rest, no matter how Irvine is trying to stop her, she is very persistent, all she think was wanting to rescue Squall & the rest. Eventually, she went back. Meanwhile, the others are also trying to escape, the escape was successful with the help of Rinoa.
They had to return to Balamb Garden now because Galbadia had fired missles at it. After Balamb Garden is saved, Rinoa enters Squall's room to take a peek at the latter sleeping. When he awakens, she requests for a tour around Balamb Garden, which Squall obliges. Finally, a quiet time for this couples-to-be.
Squall's robotic-like style of explaining the various facilities leaves Rinoa quite amused... Dr. Kadowaki at the infirmary will teasingly question Squall if he's taking a stroll with his girlfriend... At certain time, Squall had been troubled by all the weird dreams that was in the past, Rinoa arrives to offer some comfort to Squall. Things got better now, Squall decided to stroll with Rinoa at Fisherman's Horizon, which Balamb Garden crashed into.
Fisherman's Horizon is under seige by Galbadian Army, Squall & party defeated the bosses here & they were reunited with the party that lead a different mission to the missle base. Squall lets slip his relief at seeing his comrades came back safely from the missile base. Rinoa comments that was very nice of Squall [changed opinion of him previously]. It is obvious now that she grew fonder of Squall.
Headmaster Cid confer the status of 'Commander' to Squall & Squall's friends decide to hold a small concert for him. Rinoa then invites Squall to the concert, Rinoa tries to convince Squall that the people around him genuinely want to help him, but Squall still feels that he doesn't need to depend on others, fearing that the blow will be too great to take if he loses them. Rinoa tells him then to cherish every moment when his friends are around... and not too worry too much about what's to come. This seemingly softens Squall a bit; Rinoa assures him this is really how they feel about him right now.
At this point of time, Balamb Garden faced an invasion from Galbadia Garden [controlled by Galbadian Army now]. During the invasion, Rinoa was forced off the edge of Balamb Garden, she was in danger, clinging on the ledge waiting for help. Squall happened to rescue her, both Squall & Rinoa share a moment outside the Garden's compound & Rinoa thanks Squall for saving her life, with a slight hint of her feelings towards her savior [a slight confession finally]. They went into Galbadia Garden together.
After Edea was defeated at Galbadia Garden, Rinoa fell & went into a coma. Edea explained she was controlled by Soceress Ultimecia from the future and apologized to the party. Squall then asks about Rinoa's condition [he do cares about her], but Edea says that it is beyond her powers to help. Squall ponders the possibility of going back in time to rescue Rinoa when he wakes up... He decided to seek help from Edea again.
Edea instructed Squall to look for Ellone [the girl who make him dream of the past]. Ellone was taken to Esthar, so Squall decided to go there for the sake of Rinoa. Squall met Odine [a doctor] at Esthar, he agrees to help, but on condition that Rinoa be left behind to be kept under observation. Later on, Squall & Rinoa was sent up to space in capsules, there is a medical lab in the space station where Rinoa could seek treatment.
An accident happened, Rinoa was controlled by an unknown force, Squall is powerless to stop Rinoa, he bounced away each time he try to get near Rinoa. He can do nothing but tail her. Rinoa went out into space, Squall try to follow but the air lock shuts. The space station is going to explode, at the escape pod, Squall pleads with Ellone to transfer him into Rinoa's memories.
Ellone lets him witness 3 separate incidents: one involves Rinoa forcing Irvine to turn back to D-District Prison to rescue the rest; another has Rinoa asking Zell if he could help her get a replica of Squall's ring. The final one will be a scene after defeating Edea in Galbadia Garden. Squall watches as Ultimecia transfers herself from Edea into Rinoa's body... Squall decides to risk his life to save Rinoa. He climbed out of the escape pod to find Rinoa who is lost in the space.
Squall found Rinoa! They were reunited in space... Rinoa almost died in space due to lack of oxygen, Squall transfered some of his oxygen to her. Thus, saving her again, then they got into ragnarok, an abandoned space ship. Rinoa will playfully ask Squall for a hug. After that, they continue to explore the ship & defeated all the aliens on it.
Rinoa snuggles up to Squall, he asked Rinoa why she wants to be so close to him. Rinoa responds by saying, "Isn't this what Squall wants?" But Squall says he's a bit un-accustomed. Upon further questioning, Squall admits that he dislikes being tied down by emotions because he is afraid of losing his loved ones.
The moment they are back to Earth, Rinoa was arrested for being identified as the soceress who freed Adel, Squall comforts her, believing she has led him down the right path & that he'll never let go of her. After Rinoa's departure, Squall was reprimanded by Quistis for not stopping Rinoa... He then decides to reclaim his love from the Estharians.
Squall saved Rinoa & they decided to visit Edea. Rinoa confides in Squall of her worries, that one day Ultimecia will awaken the sorceress within her. Squall says that there can always be a kind-hearted sorceress, but is unable to answer when Rinoa tells of her fear that the world will turn against her. However, Squall promises Rinoa that he'll defeat Ultimecia for her sake...
They decided to defeat Adel to stop the plans of Ultimecia, Rinoa was taken away by Seifer at the Pandora. When fighting Adel, she held Rinoa as hostage. When Adel is defeated, Rinoa is saved again. They went on to the future to confront Ultimecia.
After defeating Ultimecia, when they are going back to their world, Squall fall into a time warp & got lost. He keep walking & keep looking for Rinoa, but to no avail. On other hand, Rinoa was also looking for Squall anxiously & when Squall was getting tired & hopeless, Rinoa found him fainted, she held him tightly & cried,
What was the outcome then? Both Squall & Rinoa went back to their world safely of course! They were last seen at a celebration party held at Balamb Garden kissing each other affectionately in a romantic night. Their love stays forever.
